There are many ways to get involved with The Navigators at UW-Whitewater:
NavNight
[What & Why]
NavNight is our weekly large group gathering on campus. Expect relevant messages taught from the Bible, prayer, musical worship, and a chance to meet people. If you are new to The Navigators, NavNight is a great way for you to come check out our group! |
[When & Where]
When: Wednesday nights at 7pm Where: Esker 118 Friends are always welcome! |
Discipleship Groups (bible study + life-on-life)
[What & Why]
"Discipleship Group" is our ministry's term for "Bible Study" or "Small Group." In The Navigators, we don't merely want to grow as Bible studiers, but as disciples of Jesus. So we use a term that matches our desire. We see this happening best together in groups that pursue the following goals together: 1) In the Word & Prayer 2) In Community 3) On Mission |
[When & Where]
D-Groups will be meeting all over campus beginning Sept 9th. For more info or to sign up online: Discipleship Groups |
Curious? Groups (investigating the teachings of Jesus)
[What & Why]
Most people on campus have an opinion about Jesus, probably including yourself. But few have an informed opinion. Consider this your chance to investigate for yourself the most significant historical figure of all time. If you're not sure what you believe about Jesus (whether you grew up in a Christian home or not), Curious? Groups are safe places to investigate the teachings of Jesus so you can decide about him for yourself. |
[When & Where]
Anyone can participate in a Curious? group, regardless of involvement with the Navs community. Talk to your Nav friend about one or sign up here: Curious? Groups. Any Nav students can lead a Curious? Group with their friends. Talk to a staff person if interested. |
Discipleship
[What & Why]
Seeking to be faithful to the Great Commission's call to make disciples of Jesus Christ, it is our passion to personally invest in a generation of people who, in turn, desire to invest in others who will do the same. "What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also," (2 Timothy 2:2). |
[When & Where]
To engage in focused discipleship, consider joining a D-Group or talk with a staffperson. |
PURE for Men and Women (spring semester)
[What & Why]
It's no secret that God's design for sexuality has been trashed in our culture...and many of us are lying in the rubble, desiring to be faithful to the Lord but ensnared in lustful sin like pornography, masturbation, fantasy, and others. No matter where you are, there IS hope. It's time to stop making excuses and delaying the healing work God wants to do in your life. You're not alone! |
Fall Conference: The Weekender
[What & Why]
The Weekender is an awesome annual fall retreat that produces great friendships, builds community, and most importantly spiritual growth in Jesus Christ! Get off campus and spend the weekend at a camp with 400+ students and staff from MN, WI, ND, and SD. Expect challenging messages, equipping workshops, encouraging fellowship, prayer and reflection, sports, and great food. This is a trip that you won't regret! |
[When & Where]
When: October 18-20, 2019 Where: ARC Camp - Osceola, WI |
Community and Social
[What & Why]
We regularly do social events to build community and to develop relationships, both with committed Navigators and non-Navigators. We want this community to be marked by true fellowship, love, encouragement, and truth. You'll make friends and memories that last a lifetime! |
